Ground Floor
The Main Hall at Alton Community Centre is our biggest room, offering you a large flexible space for a wide range of events. Whether you're planning a party, conference, fair, exhibition, activity or entertainment, this space is likely to be suitable. It has access from the entrance lobby, as well as two sets of doors opening into our Members' Room (Lounge Bar) and also doors through to the café.
If you need an even bigger space, the through doors to the bar also allow access to the Garden Room, offering our three largest rooms as one space. If, on the other hand, you want a more intimate space, it is possible to draw the folding dividing wall across the hall to make a smaller space. Whilst both areas can be used, we do not generally recommend this because sound carries through the folding wall.
Both the Lounge Bar and café are at your disposal for your event, dependent upon the availability of staff. The café is able to offer a range of food including light bites, sandwiches, cakes and meals. The Lounge Bar has a range of draught lagers and bottled beers.
