Garden Room
Ground Floor
The Garden Room at Alton Community Centre is our second hall. It is suitable for meetings, presentations, training sessions, performances etc, or when the doors are opened into the Members' Room and Main Hall, it becomes part of a larger space suitable for parties, conferences, fairs, exhibitions, activities or entertainment.
The room is also excellent for art classes and other activities requiring natural light. There is a dedicated sink in a hidden cupboard at the back of the hall for use for non-food use, such as art classes. There are artists' easels available.
The main access to the room is through two sets of double doors leading from the courtyard corridor (with doors opposite that open into the courtyard), as well as three sets of doors opening into the Members' Room. The café is accessible via the corridor or through the Members' Room (if free), plus the Garden Room has a serving hatch from its own modern kitchenette for serving light refreshments. The kitchenette has a sink, fridge, kettle, china and cutlery (hot water urns also available).
